Port au Prince Airport in Haiti is located on Northern Delmas about 13 kilometers away from the city centre of Port au Prince. Haiti is well known as a land of astounding beauty. Driving around
Whether you travel by hire car, taxi or bus you should be prepared to spend some time on the roads amidst a cacophony of blaring horns and running engines. The foot traffic in the city is even worse with people crowding everywhere from sidewalks to streets. Unless you are from the locality a bus ride is sure to be your least favorite option for transportation in this region. Public transportation is tough to manage if you have lots of luggage and running schedules become highly erratic at night times.

A rental car is the best mode of transport to enjoy this region of Haiti. Champs de Mars represents the commercial quarter in the region and it includes the presidential palace. The National Museum containing many historical relics and the Episcopal Cathedral of Sainte Trinite are some of the interesting places in the city centre. As you head out of town there are many places of natural beauty to enjoy along the waterfront, especially along Route du Canape Vert which depicts a unique blending of French and African cultures.
